Race Committee Message

Hello all. As we embark on this special running event, we would like to thank all law enforcement, firefighters, emergency medical personnel, and those individuals who make a difference in serving / protecting individuals and communities abroad. We would also like to send a special thanks to those military personnel who defend the freedoms we have come to enjoy. Thanks for all you do!

The goal of the committee is to make this a first class event. This is geared toward benefiting three special groups, who are embodied to helping and supporting communities, like Shop with a Hero, and the families of police officers, firefighters, and emergency medical personnel who are killed in the line of duty.

We hope to sell out this event, so tell your family, friends, coworkers. You don’t have to be a runner to participant. Participants are welcome to walk the event, as long as you are finished by 12:00 P.M. For the half marathon race, participants must average about an 18-minute mile pace to complete the half marathon course by 12:00 P.M. deadline. Race day details will be provided at a later time.

If you can’t participant, donations are welcome. If you wish to make a donation, you can mail your donation to Lieutenant Jeff Vitale with the Missouri State Highway Patrol, address: 4947 Highway 67 North, Poplar Bluff, Missouri 63901. Please make checks payable to Badge of Honor Benefit Run.

We have created a “supporter” tab on the website for agencies who wish to supply their agency patch. We will proudly post your agency patch on the website. If you would like to be a supporter, all you need to do is e-mail your patch to Jeff Vitale at jeffvitale46@gmail.com.

We would also like to thank our sponsors for their financial support. We have created a special “Sponsor” tab on this site, so all can view.

Please be safe and hope to see you on March 28, 2015.
